Another Dapper Day has come and gone, and this time around, Lizzy and I decided to Disneybound as Ariel and Prince Eric, with our friend Shanon (@Barry_Happy on instagram) guest starring as Flounder! If I’m being completely honest, it was a pretty lack luster Dapper Day. It wasn’t bad by any means, and we still had fun, but a lot of our friends weren’t in attendance this time and the event seemed super empty. Anyways, I vlogged the day, and made a video detailing my Prince Eric Disneybound and you can find those videos below! Hope you enjoy, and we’ll see you all at Fall Dapper Day with some fresh new Disneybounds!
Lizzy and I had the absolute pleasure of being invited to Disneyland as special guests for a “Mary Poppins Returns” experience! It was a truly remarkable experience. We had lunch catered for us, we got to watch the parade from the VIP section, and we got to visit Club 33, 21 Royale (The Dream Suite), and Walt’s apartment on Main Street! Naturally Lizzy and I had to Disneybound as Mary Poppins and Jack from the new movie. Watch the vlog below :D
Fall Dapper Day 2018 was a BLAST! Lizzy and I Disneybounded as genderbent Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse, and these are definitely some of our favorite Disneybounds. Aside from the usual Dapper Day festivities, we actually got to go into Club 1901 (DCA’s Club 33)! RICH PEOPLE GO THERE! Excellent Dapper Day all around.
It's finally time to pick up where I left off! I had to take a break from working on my Star-Lord cosplay for several months because finances got a bit tight for a while there, but I'm back at it! So far I've modded some toy element blasters, and a toy Sony Walkman and a lot of people really enjoyed those videos (and have been asking for more), so I bring you the Abelisk scanner from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2!
The Abelisk scanner had a very limited amount of screen time, but it is arguably the coolest prop from the entire movie and once I saw it, I knew I had to have one! Basically, Rocket (or Peter Quill, but most likely Rocket) has modified a 1977 Mattel Electronic football game to function as a scanner of some kind. Whether is specifically designed to track the Abelisk, or if it can be used to track other creatures (hopefully it'll make a reappearance in future films!) is unclear. What I like about this the most, however, is that it was most likely in Peter's possession when he was abducted as a child. It would be one of his few actual childhood belongings.
Okay, onto the mod! So for this mod you'll need the Mattel Classic Football game that was released in 2000. It's a virtually identical remake of the original and, interestingly enough, is more screen accurate than the 1977 original because they used the 2000 remake for the on screen prop. You can tell because of the additional switch on the remake that wasn't present on the original! This can typically be found on ebay for about $25 (aff).
You will be needing the mod kit that can also be found on Ebay for about $30. Thankfully someone went through the trouble of finding the exact materials needed, and recreated the screen animation and is selling it in a nice little bundle, which includes replacement stickers! You can buy that here! (aff)
And finally you're gonna need a Samsung Galaxy SII (or equivalently sized phone). This will be put into the game so that the animation can play, making this an incredibly realistic prop. Thankfully I'm a bit of a hoarder and still had my old SII sitting in a drawer, but they can be found for pretty cheap. If you have a really tight budget, you can get away with printing out a screenshot of the animation and taping in in place. It won't be illuminated of animated, but it'll still look the part!
All in all this was a super quick mod; from start to finish it took less than 5 hours! Heck, it took me longer to edit the video and make this blog post! so if you can acquire the materials and tools, I highly recommend giving this mod a try.
It's dapper day once more and this time around, Lizzy and I decided to Disneybound as King Candy, and Turbo from Wreck-It Ralph (one of my top 5 favorite Disney movies) and I must say... we looked pretty good. As usual we waited until the last second to get stuff and I'm honestly shocked at how well these outfits came together. And honestly, I could easily see myself wearing my outfit again for some function that I have to look fancy for.

On this day in 2014, Big Hero 6 was released and the lovable health care companion Baymax soared to the top of my favorite Disney characters list. The more Baymax's I have, the happier I am, and after spotting this Baymax paper craft on pinterest I decided that I needed to have it as well... I was not prepared.
You can find the template here, but do be careful because that site is a minefield of spam links. Watch my video to see the chaos unfold.
Spoopy season has officially come to an end... but hey, that just means it's festive season now!! So here are some of my favorite things from the month of October!!

New York was Incredible. I vlogged the entire experience (coming soon), and took a ton pictures. Here's a little gallery of pictures from the trip :D
D23 Expo was a wild ride with a lot of great memories (I documented the event in this vlog). Naturally Lizzy and I needed to Disneybound for the Expo, and for day 2, we decided to DisneyBound as Star-Lord and Gamora from Guardians of the Galaxy! I was originally planning on wearing my Star-Lord cosplay to the event, but it wasn't going to be ready in time, so this is the next best thing!
This is easily one of my favorite Disneybounds, and it probably helps that Star-Lord is one of my all time favorite characters. We got so many wonderful compliments and were even featured on Disney Style's "Best Fasion of D23 Expo" article! See you in two years D23!
It's time for the second piece of my first cosplay! Many of you know by now that I'm embarking on my first quest into the wonderful world of cosplay, and I've decided to start with Star-Lord from Guardians of the Galaxy! I absolutely love guardians of the Galaxy, and I'm such a fan of Star-Lord. Check out the first part of my cosplay here.

Finding an original Sony Walkman TPS-L2 for less than $900 is no easy task, so I had to find a cheaper way to make this part of my cosplay. That's where this toy from Target/Toys R Us comes into play! for $25, this makes for an excellent starting point.
I personally picked mine up at my local Toys R Us, but it can be ordered online! Click the links below to order one.
I then took it home, disassembled it, and prepped it for painting. For the painting process I used a rattle can primer, and these two Dupli-Color Metallic Chrysler Perfect Match Automotive Paints in Teal and Silver. These are very close to the original Walkman's colors! I then finished it off with some rattle-can clear coat!
After I was done painting, I decided to mod the toy to house a bluetooth receiver so I that I can connect it to my phone and wirelessly play sweet tunes like Hooked on a feeling! This involved removing everything except the circuit board (and stripping a lot off of the circuit board) to make room for a 3.5mm cable and the reciever! I also took a dremel to the inside of the toy (see video for more). The Bluetooth receiver was only $13, so you don't need to break the bank!

I then added some accurate walkman stickers that I got on Etsy (find them here), and added the Awesome mix which I got from Secret Alias Man (message him for the PDF). HUGE shoutout to him for providing all the necessary information and making this mod possible! Definitely give him a follow. And for the final step, I put it all together, and replaced the foam with these orange foam earbuds (aff)! Here's the final product.
Today, I show and tell you all about some of my favorite things from the month of May!!

oday I show you all of the Disney Apps that are currently installed on my phone!!
lol, what were they thinking? Let's chat about DisFlix and why it was real dumb.
It's time for another episode of "JamesChats With!" This time, as predicted in the last episode, I chat with the one and only Brizzy Voices!
I hope you enjoy this new segment called "James Chats With..." in which I sit down with a guest and... you know... chat about stuff.
VidCon just happened, which means "Disney Day" also just happened! This time our friend Kirstyn Hippe joined us in a group villain bound! Kirstyn Disneybounded (for the first time ever!!) as Cruella Deville, Lizzy bounded as Maleficent, and I bounded as Jafar. I'm really happy with how this Disneybound came together and it was super comfy :D
For anyone interested in cheap sunglasses with several color options (great for Disneybounds!) click the image below and you'll be taken to the amazon listing! :)
Seeing as how Star Wars Episode IV A New Hope came out 39 years ago today, I thought it would be fitting to talk about the future of Star Wars! So here are just some of my predictions for the next installment (sequentially, excluding Rogue One lol) of my favorite franchise. I give my thoughts on the origins of Rey, the arrival of Darth Kylo, and the potential for a lightsaber wielding Jedi Leia?... Hope you enjoy!
What are some of your Star Wars Predictions? Do you think Rey is a Kenobi, a Skywalker, or a random? Let me know your thoughts by leaving a comment on the video below :)
Spring Dapper Day was such a Magical experience. There were so many wonderfully dapper Disneybounders and it was such an honor being a part of the official Dapper Day Expo Disneybound meet and greet! Shout out to Leslie Kay for making that happen, you da bomb!
For this Dapper Dap, Lizzy (SoundProofLiz), Brizzy Voices, and I put together a collaborative Hercules DisneyBound. I was obviously Hercules, Lizzy was of course Meg, and Brizzy Voices was Pegasus (this was actually her idea, so thanks Brizzy!).
As always, Lizzy and I made videos detailing what all went into the making of our Hercules Themed Disneybounds which you can watch below. I also vlogged my experience at Dapper Day, and that video will also be listed below :D
So I was recently tagged by Isaiah (AKA Sai Does Stuff) to do the "Bare Necessities Tag" in which I list some of the things I couldn't live without! This is obviously inspired by Disney's "The Jungle Book." If you haven't already seen the new live action remake of The Jungle Book, I HIGHLY recommend it. I also took the opportunity to test out my new Panasonic lx100 (which I got for handheld vlogging on my second channel, as well as a b cam on future projects like Bigger Than Me). Hope you enjoy!
Okay, in list form, these are my bare necessities in life :)
- Disneyland Annual Pass (of course)
- My camera (specifically the Panasonic LX100 for versatility)
- My computer so I can edit whatever pictures and videos I capture with my camera
- And, most importantly, the ever so lovely SoundProofLiz (https://www.youtube.com/SoundProofLiz)
- An honorary mention goes to my sonic screwdriver lol.
You can watch the original "Bare Necessities Tag" here!
The other day I was hanging out in Disney's California adventure with my friend Leo Camacho and decided to shoot a little video with him! We're both really big Star Wars fans, so we thought it would be appropriate to make a video about Star Wars!
A while back I made a video titled "If I Were a Time Lord..." in which I answered questions about Doctor Who to show what kind of Time Lord I would be. This time around, I came up with some questions about Star Wars that determine what kind of Jedis we would be!
